Dayton Superior Offers 40-Years of Experience for Flooring Professionals

What do concrete contractors and floor covering installers have in common? The superior technology and experience of Dayton Superior.

The Kansas City-based specialty chemical company has a 40+ year history of manufacturing underlayments and subfloor prep products–previously distributing their products exclusively to the construction and concrete industries. That was until last year’s Surfaces Show, when the company unveiled a family of flooring products offering solutions to problems associated with subfloor preparation.
The Dayton Superior Flooring Product Line Includes:

• EconoLevel, a polymer modified, cementitious self-leveling underlayment designed for interior use, offering an economical solution when an installer discovers that a self leveler is required, but wasn’t budgeted.

• LeveLayer is Dayton’s premium, Portland cement based self-leveling underlayment. LeveLayer offers premium performance in a contractor friendly product. It gains very high compressive strength, is pourable or pumpable, and provides quick turnaround time for the rest of the installation.

• Level Topping and Level Topping EXT are self-leveling toppings. Level Topping is designed for indoor use, and offers a compressive strength of over 7000 psi. Level Topping EXT is designed for exterior applications, but can be used indoors as well.

• Sure Finish is a polymer modified, trowable underlayment that skim coats up to 30 square feet per pound, with no priming or additives required. Flooring can be installed in as little as 30 minutes. Sure Finish is packaged in contractor-friendly 10 lb. and 25 lb. pails vs. bags.

• Sure Patch is an economical patch that requires no priming and can be installed over in as little as 60 minutes.

• LeveLayer Primer and LevelPrime are Dayton Superior’s primers for self-leveling. LeveLayer Primer (J-42) is a concentrated formula that dries blue so that contractors can be sure they’ve properly primed. LevelPrime is a ready-to-use formula that dries red to ensure the contractor has not missed any spots.

Dayton Superior Corporation also manufactures other concrete surface treatments such as cures, hardeners, sealers, coatings, and epoxies. Plus, they have a complete decorative concrete program that include stamping & texturing systems, integral colors, acid-etch stains, resurfacing and decorative flooring systems.
